Crisp , sharp view. DO NOT BUY A WARRENTY. Vortex offer a lifetime guarantee. Only negative is that it‘s a bit hefty and needs a solid tripod.

I shoot rifle and pistol matches for my profession and I needed a solid little scope that would fit in my Bullseye/Precision Pistol box and be light. Full disclosure, I used to be a Vortex sponsored shooter but I paid full price (here) for this scope. I also wanted it for a light pack scope on hunts when I don’t want to lug around it’s big brother. I’m honestly quite impressed by this optic. It packs a lot of punch for its size and Vortex has a solid warranty that helps get over the sticker shock of some of their top tier optics. Bottom line, I’d recommend it to anyone in the market for a light, compact optic capable of surprising image quality for its size.

I purchased this for hunting season and bought a digi scope adapter for it. Well the digi scope adapter does not fit. Come to find out it’s a diamondback spotting scope, not a Razor HD, and I over paid this seller about $1200 for something that was mislabeled and not the correct product

..could be this good! When you unpack the Razor 11-33x50 scope it looks tiny and it weights less than many books. Set it up and it‘s an optical powerhouse. At 11x it can be used like a binocular, hand-held and useful for scanning for things. If you set it up on a tripod or monopod and crank it up to 33x you can identify birds at a hundred yards. The image is bright up to about 27x and then gets a little dimmer up to the max of 33x. The fold-down eyepiece is essential for people who wear glasses, but I found that even for viewing without glasses, folding it down made it easier to position your eye for the smaller exit pupil at 33x. The scope is lighter than my tripod at 25 oz, and it has Vortex Razor optical quality. The two-stage focus knobs are easy to turn and so is the eyepiece power selector, and that‘s great because you don‘t wrestle either and pull the scope off target. I was really concerned that this scope wouldn‘t measure up, but the quality of the build and the image are way better than I‘d even hoped.

Fast shipping and the quality is nice way better than buying one of display models at a store That’s had hundreds of hands on it. Even came with the cover face and everything. It’s a torpedo though it’s long, but if you want a spot long range it’s perfect.

We use the scope for birding and are out in the field a lot in harsh bushwacking and weather conditions. We just upgraded from the Razor HD 20x and have a Swarovski atx 95mm. Just did side by side comparison with Swarovski 85mm.We really like the clarity and nice zoom feature. The razor HD20x required fine focusing after zoom.We also like the improved attachment ring (longer and stronger) Our razor HD 20x ring broke twice.Compared the the Swarovski 20x 85mm, the Vortex HD 27 had slightly better clarity at distance the Swarovski had better field of view for closer birds easier to find.The VIP warranty really works and we have used is several times over 10 years.The Swarovski US customer service is poor. We have needed a foot replacement for the last month and received an email with a service number but nothing for weeks.
